Foundation Medicine (FMI) is seeking an Account Executive to develop and grow a territory, and to exceed sales goals for FMIs portfolio of products.
In this role, you will represent FMI and work with oncologists and other members of the extended cancer care team to integrate our products and services into their practices. Success requires a solutions-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset.

This may be a position covering several states requiring frequent travel.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Development and execution of a territory business plan to achieve territory volume and revenue objectives.
Establish and maintain trust-based customer relationships.
Continually demonstrate a high level of product and market knowledge, and use it to inform your decisions.
Participate and partner with other FMI functions (Client Services, Marketing, Health Plans, Billing, Clinical Collaborators, Commercial Programs, Business Development and National Accounts) to ensure a superior experience is delivered to your customers.
Sell and negotiate in the complex environments of academic medical centers, large cancer centers and health systems.
Learn from your interactions with others while being a collaborative, encouraging teammate.
Ability to travel within assigned territory (daily), and to company meetings (bi-annually).
A minimum of 5 years sales experience in a relevant industry (diagnostics, biotech, pharmaceuticals) with proven outstanding sales performance; oncology and/or molecular diagnostic experience preferred.
History of success maintaining key relationships with health care professionals and staffs.
