Admin Assistant (M/F)

Lufthansa Technik Component Services LLC. – East Meadow, NY


Support Office Manager with administration & coordination in communication, correspondence, scheduling, reporting and organizational issues.


  • General administration and clerical duties to support Office Manager, CLO, Directors, Managers, and employees.
  • Organize meetings and events
  • Handle and coordinate calls and inquires received
  • Administration of training records and profiles for all BU Log employees in designated database
  • Coordination of all trainings and each required element
  • Setup of new employees (background checks, PK setup, LH ID, etc.)
  • Act as liaison between HR and BU Log
  • Oversee travel arrangements and guidelines for BU Log staff, and support travel requirements as needed. Insure all travel orders are properly closed with proper cost allocation.
  • Support and assist with travel arrangements for other executives and other VIPs
  • Coordinator of all Interns in BU Log, including communicating with Intern department in Germany when applicable.
  • Maintain, procure, and distribute office supplies for entire LTCS NYC office
  • Oversee and prepare reports and presentations (e.g. Board Meetings)
  • Prepare external and internal correspondence including reports, response letters, memos and special announcements in both English and German
  • Ensure discreet handling of all confidential matters
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze and summarize data into reports.
  • Support other LTCS office administration colleagues as needed and work towards harmonized processes common to all.
  • Participate in special projects as directed
  • Handle Insurance needs (questions, certificates, vehicle, etc.)
  • Manage company vehicle registrations
  • Manage company credit card accounts
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

  • High school diploma/GED desirable
  • College degree/vocational training desirable
  • Work Experience

  • 4 years of professional experience desirable
  • Technical Competencies


  • Fluent English required
  • German desirable
  • Other language desirable
  • Industry Knowledge

  • Aviation Logistics, Transportation, Distribution warehouse, Supply Chain, Analysis, Import/Export knowledge, Customer Service desirable
  • Specialized Knowledge

  • SAP Warehouse, LTLS regulations, DGR Shipping, Freight Forwarding desirable
  • IT Knowledge

  • Expert computer level skills
  • Good knowledge in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP R/3 and other LTLS/LTLA logistic systems, CSM.
  • Excellent use of email, internet.
