Agency Services Operations, Vice President

Job Summary

This position has responsibility for managing the bi-Coastal Agency Services Teams supporting both MUFG Bank and MUFG Union Bank.


  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Syndicated Loan Markets and Products especially as an Administrative Agent.
  • In depth knowledge of market initiatives to streamline and automate the settlement and servicing for Loans
  • Understands market conventions for managing these products
  • In Depth knowledge of Operations especially related to Syndicated Lending
  • Extensive Management experience including manage a remote team
  • Ability to Face off with very senior management staff in Front Office and Syndications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Banks Clients, Investors and other Agent Banks
  • Knowledge of Industry standards and standard methodologies for Syndicated and Commercial lending operations
  • Ensure all lending transactions are followed and managed correctly, minimizing operational risks and losses and ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures
  • Leads all aspects of the Agency services processes including Client, Investors/Lenders, Issuing Letter of Credit banks, Syndications, Front Office etc.
  • Act as project leader for all CLTS and Bank sponsored initiatives including the Agency Optimization and AFS Replacement projects ensuring resource allocation, Requirements/SME knowledge, Testing, implementation and conversions.
  • Designs and implements departmental structural and procedural changes where necessary.
  • Performance management including setting objectives, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures

  • Ability to analyze and streamline operational processes improving productivity and efficiency. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of Bank systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: ACBS, Loan IQ, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Intralinks, Debt Domain.
  • Experience managing Teams located in different locations.
  • Some travel
  • Minimum 7 years management experience.
