With a global community of world-class scientists focused on impacting the lives of millions of customers through scientific invention by enabling new customer experiences, or improving existing ones, Amazon is one of the most exciting places to work and have impact at scale.We are looking for a digital-savvy Senior Marketing Manager (site editor) who will develop and lead an original content strategy for journalism-style storytelling about Amazons customer-focused approach to science. The right candidate will be the content manager for Amazons science website and own all aspects of content management, from development and governance, to helping develop and drive a marketing strategy for the site. We seek a creative, detail-oriented, data-driven and customer-centric digital content professional. The ideal candidate is a seasoned digital content expert who is passionate about great storytelling, and also possesses an understanding of web technologies, online marketing, social channels, content management, web analytics and developing stakeholder support.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders across Amazon to identify key storytelling moments and crate original content to communicate about those moments.Manage the editorial calendar process, partnering with content stakeholders from across Amazon to ensure the website content is current, fresh and aligned with business objectives.Manage the content governance process to ensure all content and contributed content is current, accurate and best supports the sites customer journey.Oversee content producers, including writers, photographers, videographers and graphics expertsConduct regular content quality audits to ensure content is current and accurate.Partner with the sites Marketing Manager to ensure strong social amplification of key content, sharing with international teams, executive communications and other stakeholders to ensure were effectively telling the companys story about its customer-focused approach to science.Partner with the sites Marketing Manager to track, measure and interpret KPIs, SEO and other metrics to determine the success of specific content elements.Provide content insights and recommendations to the website team and key stakeholdersAbility to thrive within an environment where change is constantPrior experience in a publishing, marketing or communications leadership role.Prior experience with core web technologies and demonstrated success in using them effectively for online applicationsDemonstrated expertise with content publishing systemsA proven track record in delivering measurable outcomesDemonstrated ability to work under constant deadline pressureDemonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects across multiple business groupsDemonstrated ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed organization across multiple groups and business ownersStrong management skillsExcellent communication skills
