Designation: Android Developer

Location: Boston, MA

Job Type: Contract

Rate: $45/hr to $55/hr.

Customer: Santander Bank

Note: Need candidate with banking domain experience.

Description:

Coordinate with the Technical Architects and Leads on current programming tasks.

Collaborate with other programmers to design and implement features.

Quickly produce well-organized, optimized, and documented source code.

Create and document software tools required by artists or other developers.

Debug existing source code and polish feature sets.

Contribute to technical design documentation.

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Qualification:

A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in any job title with duties involving software development, programming or analysis

Extensive experience with Java and full command of Android APIs on all OS versions

Experience working a significant consumer app that is currently available in the marketplace

Experience with web-related technologies, including JavaScript, HTML 4/5, AJAX, JSON, XML, Kotlin

Solid understanding of data models and data access architecture and optimization

Strong understanding of multi-tier web architectures, and OO design patterns and concepts

Strong understanding of server-side software, scalability, performance, and reliability

A sound understanding of HTTP and REST-style web services

Must demonstrate solid organization/communication skills
