API Developer

• Implements all stages of System Development Life Cycles (SDLC) including Requirements, Logical and Physical Architectural Modeling, Design, Development, Implementation, Support and Threat/Risk assessment.
• Demonstrates knowledge in any of the test-driven/behavior-driven development practices as well as CI/CD tools, and in its usage for support of continuous integration and deployment.
• Presents architectural solutions as visual models in the form of diagrams, charts, and graphs.
• Performs duties with an in-depth understanding of SOA/EAI/ESB concepts, SOA Governance, Event Driven Architecture, message-based architectures, file sharing and exchange platforms, data virtualization and caching strategies, J2EE design patterns, frameworks.
• Presents advanced skills implementing API Service architectures (SOAP, REST) using tools such as API Connect, Apigee and frameworks such as Spring Boot for Microservices.
• Provides high knowledge with a track record of solution delivery using various data integration solutions in situations requiring real time (synchronous and asynchronous) messaging, Publish/Subscribe models, Microservices patterns, Middleware, and other related methodologies in a multi-user, multi-platform, multi-tier environment. Ability to multitasks, work on several projects while maintaining high attention to details. Maintains flexibility in ever-changing environment.
• Demonstrated success in coding with little to no errors, with problem solving including root cause analysis, defining issues and recommending solutions.
• Communicates effectively on technical and/or business issues ensuring that customers and teams have a clear understanding of solutions recommended and intended outcomes.

Project Specific Technical Requirements:

• 10 years of professional information technology experience, including 5+ years of integration and architecture
• Expert knowledge of IBM’s Data Power (XML Appliance) and WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX)
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and Container Management software (Kubernetes, Mesos) using Red Hat Open Shift
• Experience with multiple middleware technologies (Application Servers, BPMS, BRMS, ESB & Message Brokers), Programming languages (e.g. Java/J2EE, JavaScript, COBOL, C), Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, MVS), Databases (DB2, MySQL, No SQL Databases like MongoDB etc.) and messaging solutions (e.g. Kafka) preferred Significant understanding of:
• Microservice patterns & concepts & its application in problem solving Cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platforms
• 7+ years of experience in the following:
• Analysis, design, development, implementation of IBM WebSphere Message Broker & WMB), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM WebSphere MQ  ESQL or Java in developing component
• SOA, Messaging, Transformation Engines, Web Services, and Data Integration techniques
• Designing and developing SOAP and REST Web Services
• J2EE (EJB, JCA, JTA, etc.), JMS, WMQ, ESQL  Data Modeling, Web Services (XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, BEPL, etc.)
• Implementing API Service architectures (SOAP, REST) using any of the market leading API Management tools
• SQL and Stored Procedure and Views in Oracle and MS SQL Server 2+ years’ experience in the following: Tuning Oracle and MS SQL Server SQL.
