Bi Developer

Responsibilities:

• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
• Developing DAX measures in Power BI.
• Administering Power BI including deployment, user administration, workspace management and trouble shooting.
• Responding to data requests and running ad hoc queries.
• Analyzing datasets and communicating observations.
• Developing and testing complex SQL queries.
• Working with internal users to understand their requirements, explain issues, and prioritize work.
• Collaborating with our Data Analytics team to improve efficiency through report and process automation.
• Working with internal users to understand their requirements, explain issues, and prioritize work.

Qualification:

• BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• More experience or desire on the visualization side of development, less on data management.
• 3+ years’ experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and T‐SQL.
• 3+ years’ experience in Power BI development and administration.
• 1 year experience DAX queries.
• Proficient at writing ad hoc SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
• Strong analytical, problem‐solving and project management skills.
• Must be consultative in nature with an analytical, problem-solving mindset.

Key Skills:

• Good understanding of coding languages. 
• Prior experience in data preparation and visualization. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• A working knowledge of finance. 
• Statistical analysis know-how.
• Aptitude for descriptive analytics.
