Business Data Analyst

Job Description:

• To apply knowledge and analytics to develop and communicate timely, accurate, and actionable insight to the business through the use of modeling, visualization, and optimization. Responsible for the reporting, analyzing, and predicting of operational processes, performance, and Key Performance Indicators. Communication with site leadership, operations, and finance on efficiency, customer requirements, account specific issues, and insight into to the business, operations, and customer.

Experience:

• 4+ years of US Navy experience with understanding of Navy force structure.
• Experience with Scrum or other Agile methods.
• Experience researching customer concepts, capturing requirements, and analyzing information.
• Experience with authoritative data streams, ETL/batch processes, and troubleshooting data issues.
• Effective written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and an agile software development team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
• P roficiency in SQL and database concepts.
• Working knowledge of MS SharePoint and Azure DevOps.
• Strong commitment to learn the Navy readiness production business domain.
• Flexibility to support testing activities, as needed.

Key Skills:

• Database tools.
• Data analysts use Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Programming languages Analysts use R and Python to clean, manipulate, and analyze data.
