Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Description:

Associate/Intermediate:

Join our team to help deliver the Columbia class submarine! The successful candidate will possess knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and hydraulics. The role involves design optimization and transient simulations to achieve necessary reactor performance. Duties will include performing engineering evaluations and analyses, and make engineering decisions for different aspects of assigned tasks. Cognizant areas may include planning, designing, modeling, analyzing, and documenting of nuclear, mechanical, or electrical components, systems and equipment. Work will include reactor transient evaluations, design reviews, engineering methods and software development, and analysis of procedures and systems for performance.

Job Requirements:

Associate:

BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university required.

Intermediate:

1. BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or 2. MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience
