Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer II will be responsible for the system architectures and module designs of a new product. You will be the owner of all aspects of ME product design. You should have experience designing and analyzing complex consumer devices that have shipped at medium to high volumes, and have worked in all stages of the product lifecycle. The Mechanical Engineer II Will Be Responsible For All aspect of the products/modules mechanical design Full cycle product development Working closely with engineering (EE, SDE), Industrial design, UX, product management, and research to drive new product development programs from concept to production Starting with the customer experience to create product that have functional beauty and delight our users. Maintaining high level of communications with cross-functional team, and partners Basic Qualifications BS Mechanical Engineering (or similar field) 5+ years of product development experience with emphasis on high or medium volume consumer products 2+ years experience contributing to DFM, Detailing and Tooling processes 2+ years experience using 3D models, analysis and simulation to drive design trade offs Design Experience with at least one modern 3D modeling/CAD system Preferred Qualifications Experience in medium to high volume manufacturing and working with offshore manufacturers Component qualification and validation Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
