Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

Focus on driving and supporting pricing-specific initiatives at Western Union by using Data Science techniques to measure customer price sensitivity, predict customer behavior & conversion to achieve business financial and customer relationship objectives.
Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and models and collaborate with fellow Global Pricing team members to provide insights and recommendations.
Partner with Pricing Strategy Analysts on the Global Pricing team to ensure the models developed accurately represent the business environment and that model results are actionable.
Create presentations that describe model results and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, Master's degree preferred.
3 yrs experience working in analytics.
Demonstrated experience developing models and data-driven recommendations that result in better business outcomes.
Skilled in data wrangling & modeling database querying (SQL), and use of cloud-based platforms.
Knowledge of best-practice modeling techniques for one or more of the following: price elasticity, consumer demand modeling, experimental design, time series analysis, forecasting, or optimization.
Ability to rapidly synthesize data and model results into insights & recommendations.
Strong communication skills - helps manage expectations, gives real-time feedback, clarifies for alignment and understanding, appreciates other points of view, active listener.
