Business Development Representative

CDM Media specializes in end-user focused technology summits and custom events that bring together Senior level executives from Fortune 1000 companies and the major technology solution providers they need to meet. These events are focused on the need of technology acquirers to quickly find answers to their pressing technology problems through interaction with partners and peers. Over the last decade we have built an international community of over 10,000 top level IT executives. These are the enterprise players and decision makers that represent the top half of all worldwide technology decision makers. These movers and shakers of the IT world come from the highest levels and represent the largest companies in the most influential sectors.

The role:

You will be working directly with our Sales Director and VP Sales to drive the direction and success of key partnerships. Youll spend your time qualifying Sponsorship opportunities, with the movers and shakers of todays Enterprise companies and the senior management of their Sales & Marketing teams via phone and email. We need people that are fired-up about creating high-end qualified sales pipeline opportunities, and constantly on the hunt for ways to improve themselves and the team around them. Drive sales growth by finding and engaging qualified prospects via phone and email

Connect with and quickly develop relationships with key Senior Management contacts and prospects within the technology vendor space

Collaborate with marketing and sales on lead quality and conversion

Understand CDMs Value Proposition and place in the markets we operate

Build a pipeline and execute on early stages of the sales process

Create and prioritize strategic target account lists

Use various sales tools and methods to identify decision makers within the target account lists

Achieve and dominate your quotas

High outbound call volume along with running mass email campaigns


You have some business development or professional sales development experience

You have real determination and grit to make opportunities a reality

You have or want experience with prospecting and cold calling

You have clear written/verbal communication skills

You have strong presentation skills and are confident, both on the phone and in person

You are motivated and goal oriented with a self-starting attitude

You can work in a fast paced, team environment

You have good time management with strong organizational skills

You want to build a successful sales career

You know and understand that failure is a part of every success

SalesForce experience is a plus
