Business Development Support Representative

E2i Inc. – Manteno, IL

We are seeking full-time Business Development Associate for our National Headquarters in Illinois. This position reports to the Manager of Business Development and is responsible for providing support to the business development team.

Location & Travel:

  • Primary Location: Manteno, IL
  • 10 - 25% Travel: Travel to E2i s regional offices, sales visits, nationwide events, trade shows, engagements and training opportunities

Your Roles Responsibilities

  • Inbound lead taking and scheduling appointments; outbound calling to set appointments for Business Development personnel
  • Obtain and enter in each qualified lead or account for business development department within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with the appropriate referral, marketing or other tracking codes along with all other required information, document customer and contact information in real time
  • Research prospect background to better understand prospect needs and challenges, competition, appropriate service/pricing approach
  • Prepare quotes and RFP/RFI responses as directed; track and report on the status of all proposal components as directed
  • Maintain all quote documentation and records with accurate pricing and configurations
  • Track and prioritize all leads to ensure timely follow-up
  • Prepare internal reports and presentations for business operations, development and engineering; schedule and coordinate meetings across departments
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends and other research projects that improve the business understanding of markets and clientele
  • Assist Marketing in coordinating schedule, accommodations, logistics and communication for sales visits, nationwide events, trade shows, engagements, and training opportunities
  • Develop content for social media and other types of promotional marketing activities

You are good at:

  • Organization, following instructions and protocols, and attention to detail
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to draft high quality written materials and correspondence
  • Building rapport with clients, peers, and supervisors
  • Ability to manage and make progress on multiple projects simultaneously, including working cooperatively across teams

What you need for this position:

  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience directly related to this roles responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience anticipating the needs of a senior manager in a support role
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; exposure to SharePoint and Teams is a plus
