If these are the sorts of things that get you excited to come to work, then Cloud & Connectivity Engineering (CCE) is looking to hire a program manager just like you!ResponsibilitiesThis Business Program Manager will you will lead the procurement strategy and global delivery processes necessary to keep pace with the companys rapid rate of innovation. Projects span all aspects of network infrastructure, from gathering engineering requirements, carrier/provider selection, to global procurement and trade, budgeting and forecasting, all while using an Agile methodology. (Epics -> Scenarios -> Features -> User Stories -> Tasks)You will join a team of network engineers that manage our global carriers and provide connectivity to all Microsoft locations. You will be involved in feature planning, process design, contract development and negotiation, global procurement, financial planning, project delivery, policy management, while maintaining close relationships with internal stakeholders and partners.Primary Job Functions/Activities

  • Own budget and provide forecast for Telecom and WAN spend globally
  • Own billing and invoice management for Telecom and WAN
  • Own relationship and driving reporting requirements for billing system
  • Own the vendor selection process and drive the negotiation process for vendor contracts (hardware, software, services) while partnering with multiple liaisons (Legal, Procurement, Finance, Business Management, Accounts Payable, Product Groups, etc)
  • Determine best approach to be used for solution delivery including supplier, budget, resourcing, product selection, service level, quality assurance, delivery commitments and other key performance contract terms, based on the engineering requirements collected.
  • Define and implement a delivery model, by automating manual processes, streamlining intake, and increasing visibility to the end to end process.
  • Drive meaningful analysis of business cases, operational and financial models, to quantify impact and define solutions within policy. Build reports, communicate the analysis outcome, and use the findings to drive planning or make improvements to current plans/processes.
  • Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent in work experience is required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Business Management, Program Management, Procurement or Business Analysis.
  • Strong business case and contract development skills.
  • Experience with global procurement and suppliers, understanding of network infrastructure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience with datacenters or labs
