Overview:

Global Capital Markets (GCM) includes Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade Capital Markets, Debt Advisory and Origination for Rates & Currencies. This role will report to the GCM COO organization and will liaise with the lines of business and control functions (Finance, Compliance, Risk, etc.) to help ensure the division is run effectively and within the requirements of relevant policies and regulatory requirements.

Key areas of focus for the role are business strategy and planning, regulatory reform, change management, internal financial reporting and senior management presentations. Tasks range from working with other GCM COOs, bankers and support partners to implement regulatory requirements and productivity and infrastructure initiatives to coordinating across products and regions to help with business strategy and planning.

Role:

  • Coordinate the implementation of various existing and new regulatory requirements (e.g. Volcker and QFC Resolution Stay)
  • Analyze financial and market data across businesses and prepare presentations
  • Support projects that require coordination and communication with multiple product lines, regions, or business processes
  • Assist in the creation of presentations for senior management on strategy, business performance, and planning initiatives
  • Liaise with Technology partners to identify and implement GCM technology initiatives
  • Field a variety of ad hoc assignments, typically with time constraints

Requirements:

An ideal candidate has 6+ years of financial, regulatory, and/or general business support experience or has been in a client facing role.   • Knowledge of GCM products
  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures
  • Proficiency in regulatory changes impacting the global capital markets
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to handle several projects with aggressive deadlines at once while maintaining the highest attention to detail
  • Superior presentation skills to represent the business across internal and external platforms
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills coupled with creative, strategic thinking
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, depending on the task/project
  • Exercises the highest level of discretion and respects confidentiality
