Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The CFO reports directly to the CEO and has comprehensive leadership and management responsibilities for the finance, accounting, bookkeeping, reporting, investments, and auditing functions for TCM. The CFO ensures the integrity and effectiveness of the finance, accounting, bookkeeping, and reporting process and systems; working continually to improve them to meet changing clients, cases, and internal needs.


  • Provide leadership, oversight, and support to the TCM finance and accounting functions of the organization
  • Managing accurate recording and completion of financial activities, performing reconciliations, producing timely reports, conducting internal audits for regulatory compliance, and providing incidental services to clients and staff
  • Reviewing and approving all payables
  • Maintaining and monitoring TCM lines of credit
  • Generating monthly financial statements while offering explanatory insights to trends and/or opportunities
  • Maintaining multiple balanced and reconciled accounts
  • Performing internal compliance audits and preparing audit reports for both internal and external reporting
  • Track and determine financial status by comparing actual results with forecasts and budgets, and analyze variance fluctuations
  • Managing employee payroll process and systems
  • Responsible for the completion of tasks assigned to finance and accounting team
  • Collaborating with CEO in conducting employee reviews, monitoring work performance and coaching/counseling to ensure continuous improvement
  • Leading, developing, implementing, and analyzing effective departmental policies & procedures
  • Attending and contributing in regularly scheduled meetings
  • Responsible for understanding and collaborating with TCM lawyers on case expenses to ensure expenses are managed correctly
  • Research and analyze financial information, write reports, monitor financial movements and assist CEO in making well informed financial decisions
  • Assemble, summarize, and evaluate date, proformas, and reports on current and potential financial investments (beyond the law firm)
  • Develop and improve financial modeling tools; establish benchmarks, conduct process analysis, and create key metric dashboards
  • Create financial models to support evaluation, planning, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with the TCM Tax lawyer and accountant to ensure TCM is taking advantage of all tax benefits
  • Managing banking activities; prepare loan presentations on new investments
  • Provide creative solutions and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Compile and present end of month, quarterly, and annual financial reports to CEO
  • CFO will work directly and daily with CEO to develop a trusting relationship


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of ****93 years experience successfully managing finance, accounting and investments of an organization
