Job Description :BL-20190561175 BL-20190766298   Cloud Ops Engineer for Redmond , WA Desired Candidate Profile   Technical Expertise:   The primary focus of the role is to operate as an Azure-specialist Data engineering Support for Microsoft BI operations, taking ownership of all Cloud and database specific support and new project activities and providing assistance to the solutions development and management teams. Demonstrate ownership on incident tracking, triage, mitigation, and resolution Ability to quickly identify customer issues to specific Azure Services or Azure Platform and being able to conduct in-depth diagnostics on Azure platform and services. SQL Server database Administration, migration and working on setting up monitors for performance troubleshooting. Working on SQL upgrades and patches across the platform and work with Engineering team on compatibility testing, signoff. Configuring ALWAYS ON feature of SQL server Configuring SCOM to monitor UAT/Production servers Planning and Work on ongoing Infrastructure projects as part of MSFT BI operations like Windows Server Core Migration , SQL Server , ARM Migration, Storage Migration. Perform PoC’s across platform to onboard and adapt to new technologies in infrastructure space. Adapt to a diverse and changing environment and Initiating process changes designed to improve efficiency Partner with peers within the organization to improve tools, processes and customer support Responsible for achieving agreed SLA / OLA targets Be responsive to customer needs which may sometimes require outside of normal business hours or On-Call rotation Contribute content to internal and external documentation Familiarity with Azure products and services. Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving .   Preferable Technical Experience:    Highly adept in the management of Azure technologies, these including: Virtual Machines (VMs),  Virtual Networks (vNets),Azure Storage technologies (Azure SQL, Data Warehouse, Blob, etc.) , Azure    Security Center and Azure Alerts and Monitoring configuration. Good to have SQL Server DBA knowledge in SQL Server 2016/2017. SCOM Monitoring and Azure Monitoring Experience in PowerShell Scripting Customer communication & Situation management. Accountability & Team work. Desirable skills: Certification in Microsoft Cloud Technologies Business intelligence and related tools like Power BI Knowledge in Azure Automation Knowledge in SQL performance monitoring tool like Spotlight Monitoring tool   Others:    Strong interpersonal and communication skills Problem solver with attention to detail Self-motivated with strong time management skills and able to handle multiple assignments Provides technology mentorship to developers in lessor roles Evaluates leading-edge technologies and uses this information to support future business needs.
