Position Overview

Contribute to the successful financial growth of the company by ensuring customer experience exceeds beyond expectations through upholding the visual aesthetic of the brand, operational integrity, and the development and promotability of our human resources. Responsible for the overall results of a specific group of stores refered to as an Area or District.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Contribute to long term growth through minimum turnover, assist in recruiting high level candidates as needed, and maintaining and developing store teams to meet visual merchandising, service, and sales goals
  • Encourage empowerment, reinforce ownership, and lead a positive work environment
  • Partner closely with operations business partner on execution and accountability to ensure success at all levels
  • Ensure Store Managers clearly understand and meet job expectations
  • Work with store team to ensure they follow directives and execute monthly store flips to company standard
  • Train and develop members of the team in Visual Merchandising strategies and best practices
  • Critique team members work and productivity, providing constructive criticism/critical feedback
  • Initiate and facilitate training sessions where needed to develop management teams skills and abilities
  • Provide managers with continuous feedback and necessary training to assist them to meet current and future position requirements

  • Visual Presentation/Store Maintenance:
    Ensure the Brand Integrity of the company is reflected to customers through windows, display, and Visual Merchandising
  • Ensure the brand integrity of the company is reflected to the customer
  • Provide necessary feedback to the corporate office and field teams to drive the business through visual and merchandising opportunities
  • Partner with operations business partner to manage Store Manager and Product Experience DOR within the store
  • Train and support store management in the planning and supervision of store flips
  • Elevate monthly flip execution to ensure outcome is picture perfect
  • Ensure execution of window changes and the dressing/styling of all mannequins on time and on concept
  • Enhance merchandising techniques and promotions as per corporate office or photo directives, based on the demographic
  • Work with store teams to react to business and re-merchandising according to sell through, clarity of offer, and store concept
  • Complete walk through with store management at every store visit to ensure seamless execution of all visual standards, and maintain creative enhancements
  • Communicate with store to convey change in visual direction
  • Communicate store deficiencies i.e. lighting fixtures, visual standards per company Visual Standards Guide
  • Coaching and training for store teams on store experience expectations
  • Ensure dress code standards are met by all associates
  • Responsible for ensuring music is per company directive
  • Assist with training all management and stylists on merchandising and styling guidelines

  • Financial:

    To achieve or exceed financial plans for the market through effective planning and execution thereby contributing to the Companys overall financial results
  • Support budgeting process on all controllable store line and sales in support of Companys goals
  • Encourage entrepreneurial spirit with the utilization of all tools and resources available and within framework of business to develop creative approaches to driving business results
  • Monitor sales, financial results and take appropriate action with Store Management and Corporate Office support
  • Ensure Store Management action optimize sales and merchandise investment
  • Manage your travel budget and ensure fiscal responsibility


  • Inventory Management and Marketing:
    To contribute to Company growth through marketing and inventory management and the achievement of appropriate gross margin return on investments

  • Maximize inventory to achieve planned sales through actions focused on selling what we own today and communication on what is needed to build the business
  • Communicate and partner with Corporate Office on merchandising activity and marketing results to meet sales objectives
  • Assess and react to opportunities based on market competition
  • Ensure operational integrity in routines and practices in how the store functions

    Experience, Skills & Knowledge

    Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
  • Excellent English communication - verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills required. Must be comfortable speaking to large groups of people and with all levels of management
  • Proven track record for building brands and achieving outstanding results
  • Flexiblity in scheduling and travel
  • Proven ability to train and develop others
  • Experience in movitivating and influencing others
  • Excellent time management/project skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
  • Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
  • Elevated understanding of art & design principles (color theory, texture, hierarchy/space, scale/proportion, balance/symmetry, harmony/unity, dominance/emphasis, similarity & contrast, etc)
  • Minimum of 5 years retail/visual management experience

  • **In August 2019, this role will be relocating with the Club Monaco Business to Nutley, NJ**
