Job Description

Provide operational support and exceptional customer service for Commercial lending units as assigned: Agricultural, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Business, Small Business Banking, SBA, and Private Banking. Activities most commonly include processing of commercial loan: transactions, transaction rejects, maintenances, tax and insurance escrow, participations, payoff quotes, payoffs, general ledger reconciling items, flood and hazard insurance monitoring, exception items, ticklers, problem resolution, and report review and verification.

Essential Duties:

  • Accurately and efficiently process commercial loan transactions and maintenances to the system of record such as rate changes, accrual calculations, corrections and adjustments, participations, payments, payoffs, advances.
  • Monitor and review servicing-related ticklers setup on loans and post loan adjustments accordingly such as payment schedule resets, rate changes, and product code changes.
  • Review commercial loan documents and participation agreements as needed to ensure data accuracy so the loan will accrue and bill correctly on the system of record and will reflect correctly for reporting.
  • Research and resolve transaction rejects such as ACH, auto-pay, and other transactional activity.
  • Research and resolve loan control and other general ledger discrepancies.
  • Create and revise procedures related to Commercial Loan Servicing functions.
  • Assists in cross-training other team members on commercial loan servicing duties.
  • Monitor various reports relating to commercial loans as required. Establish and maintain appropriate files, records and daily work.

Combination of education and experience generally acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience along with 3 years loan operations experience required. Experience in customer service and/or banking experience and/or experience in a corporate service-related environment. Post secondary coursework in finance/accounting or related fields is preferred.
