Commercial Real Estate - Closing Coordinator Position (Full-time)

PACE Equity is the leading project developer, owner s representative and funder of CPACE (Commercial PACE) projects on a national basis. Recently featured in the

April 1, 2019 edition of the Milwaukee Business Journal, PACE Equity is a fast-growing company behind some of the nations largest sustainable energy developments including the Westin Hotel in downtown Milwaukee and Hotel Indigo, a $50 million project in Coachella, California. We work with commercial building owners and developers who are undertaking construction projects ranging from equipment replacement & renovations, to redevelopments and ground up new construction. As the owner s representative, PACE Equity completes all the work required to successfully close a project.


Please note, Bachelor s Degree for this position is required. For each assigned project, this position will be the owner of the transaction, managing all stakeholders to a successful closing of the project.

  • Review materials related to commercial real estate transactions and determine if they meet internal underwriting guidelines. This will require familiarity with title insurance policies, environmental reports, financial reports, corporate organizational documents, construction contracts and plans, mortgage loan documents, and appraisals.
  • Condense and disseminate information from the underwriting materials and report to other stakeholders on additional requirements or discrepancies in this information provided.
  • Create weekly project status reports to distribute to key project stakeholders to maintain forward progress and accountability to all involved in the transaction to fulfill their requirements.
  • Gather documentation, prepare application, and submit necessary items to PACE program to ensure city approval before the closing of funding.
  • Manage and update closing documentation/checklists for the project including using legal templates to draft closing documents, monitoring additional deliverables needed for closing, coordinating with outside counsel, title companies, and other consultants to close transaction.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead calls with various stakeholders in the transaction as needed.
  • Save all relevant documentation in the associated project files. This may also include saving files in multiple locations on Dropbox, Box, or Intralinks depending on the project team requirements.
  • Manage and complete pre-closing & post-closing internal processes including updating internal files and databases with project specific information.


A successful candidate will have the following strengths:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Finance, Real Estate, or Business Administration is required
  • Strong attention to detail with a familiarity in the commercial real estate industry
  • Exceptional communication skills, be able to problem solve creatively and independently, act as needed without much direction, and meet set deadlines
  • Ability to proactively drive transactions to closure by influencing key stakeholders to meet deadlines while effectively maintaining relationships between customers, internal departments, PACE District Administrators and outside counsel
  • Experience reviewing, auditing and generating accurate documents throughout the transaction
  • Able to undertake multiple projects and manage shifting priorities with tact and diplomacy
  • Be highly motivated and a team player who contributes to an atmosphere in which people collaboratively, enthusiastically and effectively produce results
  • Be fluent in all necessary technology; primarily Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Drive, Adobe pdf editing and file sharing software (such as Dropbox).
