Communications & Digital Marketing Specialist

Wed like to welcome a Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist responsible for implementing, tracking and optimizing the Credit Unions social media and online marketing efforts. We are looking for a self-directed and efficient individual with excellent skills in copy writing, social media outlets and digital communications to successfully expand the Credit Unions presence in multiple channels. This position will work with creating a variety of content and communications aimed towards growing and engaging with our Membership. JOB REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist is mainly responsible for developing content, graphics and communications for the Credit Unions digital platforms including our website, Online and Mobile Banking, mortgage websites, branch digital media, and social media. This individual will also design and update ads, flyers, and brochures. An important role for this position will be to develop strategies to grow the Credit Unions presence on social media, initiate and engage in conversation through different forums, track success of online and social media promotions, as well as encourage engagement from our Employees on our different platforms.

Together with other members of the Marketing team this role will also help develop ideas for growing Credit Union Membership and deepening the relationships with existing Members. This role will assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and other online/digital tactics. Other duties include optimizing LBS Financials website through copywriting and keyword tagging, developing email communications, assisting with public relations and press releases, and coordination and support of Member and staff events.

This position works closely with the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Assistant, and reports to the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Department is normally open for business from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. This position will work occasional weekends and holidays to support marketing related events.

The successful candidate must

  • Be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Have an excellent ability to work on multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced environment to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Successfully prioritize projects and maintain a working knowledge of marketing and promotional methods, policies and procedures necessary to effectively perform job duties.
  • Efficiently organize projects and stay on top of outstanding items with strong follow-up abilities.
  • Keep a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
  • Use interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective business relationships with staff and vendors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES

  • Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related digital communications experience required (including social media, website, online communication design/development, copywriting).
  • 2-3 years of marketing experience within a credit union or bank and/or knowledge of financial products highly desired.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Highly proficient in social media outlets including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Strong project management skills, well-organized, with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office p
  • Proficiency in Adobe Design Standard Software and other technical software.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and exceptional written communication skills.
