Communications & Social Media Specialist

INTEGRA MLTC, INC. – Lake Success, NY

General Purpose/Scope:

Works with the Department Director to accomplish the health plans internal marketing, communications and digital needs across the company. Participates in various aspects of internal marketing, event planning, and support, coordinating specific programs and activities. Works inter-departmentally to develop communications and digital content.

Duties:

  • Work with management on projects dealing with internal business communications and success stories and improve external communications through digital platforms
  • Works directly with department leads in planning and drafting storyboards for company Intranet.
  • Develop and execute social media strategy.
  • Improve the Companys digital presence through a website and social media sites with relevant news and information about the health plan, our Company culture, employees and products.
  • Works with Talent Acquisition on recruiting campaigns leveraging digital platforms.
  • Drafts communication about milestone events and achievements for personnel, projects, and health plan publications which can involve interviews and research.
  • Prepares digital photos for department and health plan for media use and creates photo presentations for display.
  • Assists with planning, coordination of company events.
  • Design, create and manage promotions and social campaigns, such as event promotion, fundraising, job postings, and other campaigns.
  • Boost visibility increase audience numbers and engage audiences and influencers
  • Aware of digital trends making recommendations for the continued improvement of the digital strategy as appropriate
  • Create engaging text, image, and video content; ensuring brand consistency across all communication channels
  • Manage community management across all social channels actively engaging and responding to followers; brainstorm ways to increase social conversation.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each social media channel
  • Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations, required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Social Media Marketing required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - engaging, well-spoken and comfortable in front of an audience, required.
  • Computer proficiency, including advanced skills in MS Office software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), required.
  • Experience managing social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, required.
  • SharePoint site collection and content management experience, including management of web parts, subsites, etc., preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines required.
  • Experience with SEO and Google Analytics to increase awareness about the company profile and career opportunities.
  • Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word Press, or related software, preferred.
  • Experience with development of content on Indeed and other recruiting sites preferred.
  • Experience in Graphic Design and Web Content Management preferred.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Proactive and self-sufficient with the ability to manage up and across.
  • Strong attention to detail, adept in creative problem-solving, and resourceful.

    Education: Bachelors Degree

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, communications and digital campaigns
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
