Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, each Compounding Pharmacy Tech I is responsible for assisting in the operations of the home infusion therapy or alternate site pharmacy, which may include sterile compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, DME management, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or the equivalent required. General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use, and aseptic technique preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred, unless required by state. State licensure preferred, unless required by state or able to obtain within time frame of state requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities of Compounding Pharmacy Technician:
To perform the role of the Compounding Pharmacy Technician successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft products.
