Salary : $50000 - $60000  / YEAR

The Department of Forensic and Investigative Sciences in Eberly College of Arts and Science at West Virginia University is seeking applicants for a Temporary Computer Programmer ( Professional Technologist 1.141). The position will support computer programming on a research forensic footwear black box study. The applicant will be required to create, test, troubleshoot and validate functional code related to the Dominance Based Rough Set Theory (or DRSA) as applied to forensic footwear analysis. In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will: Perform Computer programming, validations, testing and troubleshooting using ENVI IDL Perform Statistical analysis Perform Data analysis Report writings Bachelor&39;s degree in computer programming or computer vision. Six (6) months experience in: Procedural coding in IDL preferred, but at minimum, the applicant must be proficient at coding in another language (such as R or MatLab) in order to demonstrate transferable skills. Data analytics preferred.
