Benefits : 

This position will provide support for the maintenance and operation of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences(CEAS) Student computer labs. Work with other members of IT to develop, test, and deploy software to the CEAS Student computer labs. Work with faculty and staff members to test and verify that software is operating as expected. Act as an expert level resource to troubleshoot technology problems as they arise in the labs. Work with the CEAS business office to develop support budgets for the CEAS Student computer labs. Track equipment replacement cycles for the supported labs. Track software renewals and work with faculty members to submit needed requests and contracts. Draft budget proposals to present to needed committees to obtain funding and approval for technology changes and updates. Work with other members of IT to develop and provide training materials for Lab Assistants scheduled to work in CEAS labs. Develop training that covers the basic operation of technology and software unique to CEAS labs. Work with Faculty and Staff in CEAS to identify areas that Lab Assistants should be trained in. Direct the daily work activities of CEAS Lab Assistants. Ensure Lab Assistants are working on tasks as assigned. Assist other members of IT to provide support of technology equipment found in the Student Innovation Centers around campus; with a primary focus on the Coe SIC and spaces found in the CEAS buildings. Coordinate repair and update work with the coordinator of the respective spaces. Provide expert level support in troubleshooting technology problems that arise in the innovation centers. Coordinate or perform basic, routine, and advanced maintenance of computer systems and/or networks as needed.
