Contracts Specialist

The Contracts Specialist will work in support of the Contracts team. Duties will include the entire contracting life cycle, from participation in the proposal preparation through award and execution to close-out and archiving; majority of time will focus on Subcontract administration with partner agreements. The Specialist will work with the Contracts VP, Contracts Managers, Proposal Director, and client facing company VPs and PMs on contractual activities including both pre-award and post-award activities to include:

Key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Work with contracts department team members to ensure reports and internal tracking are able to be completed timely and accurately
  • Support the Contracts team to ensure the company is compliant and meets contracts terms and conditions with our clients (certificate of insurance, etc.)
  • Administers contracts processes and procedures to enable effective and efficient customer deliverables and results
  • Provide daily updates to internal team internal database(s)
  • Coordinate and process pre-proposal documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements and Subcontractor RFPs
  • Review NDA, TA, Master Service Agreement/Subcontract, Task Order Work Assignments and Mods against proposals and previously agreed upon terms and internal standards
  • Draft Subcontracts, SubK Mods, TA, and other contractual documentation
  • Maintain the master original paper and electronic files within the internal Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support completion of Reps & Certs, review and documentation for completion of business book proposals
  • Support entire contracting life cycle, from participation in proposal preparation through award and execution to close-out and archiving

  • 4 5 years (with Bachelors Degree) of Government contracts experience required
  • Proficient in technology tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint required
  • Technical writing experience highly desired
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access and/or Visio a plus
  • Experience and familiarity with the FAR and DFARS desired
  • Experience working in a dynamic, emerging Small Businesses desired
  • Experience working with GSA Schedules is a plus

Skills/Personal Qualities:

  • Customer service oriented; must be detail-oriented
  • Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; build trusted partnership with internal and external customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Microsoft Access, SharePoint and Visio experience a plus
  • Accounting system experience a plus
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environment
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team setting
  • CFCM, CPCM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma or other applicable certifications a plus
