Coordinator, Alterity Group (Entry Level)

A full-time position supporting the Alterity team with a focus on the stop-loss center of excellence (COE). The role will support the preparation of renewals, marketing and on-going management needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the marketing and renewing of stop-loss coverage, reviewing and summarizing stop-loss proposals and renewals, and reviewing stop-loss contracts. The Coordinator will participate in projects with the Alterity team that will assist in their development into an Associate Consultant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining client database with information inclusive of, but not limited to: renewal dates, rates, carrier, deductible levels, contract type, etc.
  • Review stop-loss loss proposals and renewals received, aggregating responses into a client friendly format to compare contract terms and pricing
  • Collaborate with team members on stop-loss renewals, marketings and on-going service needs
  • Assist with drafting stop-loss RFPs and renewals, including obtaining critical data from the client, carrier and/or broker team, as required
  • Support the team in collecting marketing data in a timely manner
  • Respond quickly and accurately to client and carrier questions and work to resolve any issues as quickly as possible
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships within the Alterity team, with insurance carriers, and local broker teams as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical and financial acumen with ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Strong writing skills with ability to correspond in a clear, concise and persuasive manner
  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from team members, clients, local broker teams, and vendors
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects at once and to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Education and/or Experience:

Four-Year College or University Degree
