Curriculum Development Specialist, Mid
Key Role:
Lead a team of instructional systems designers and subject matter experts to review current coursework and develop new coursework documents. Define requirements, communicate progress, and perform organizational planning to enhance coursework for formal classroom delivery. Plan, supervise, and coordinate with project managers and program managers. Identify and validate training requirements, deliver reports supported by analysis and data, and consider alternate training delivery methods. Deliver progress reports, monthly reports, white papers and other documents in support of training program, as requested and review training planning process and work with identified resources. Develop and design a strategy to align coursework to customer requirements and apply the PADDIE process and align with NAVEDTRA 130 series and Navy End to End (E2E) process. Build the design and delivery database to include learning management content.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with U.S. Navy curriculum development
  • Experience with providing administrative support for and advising, and liaising with senior military officials
  • Experience with NETCs E2E methodology
  • Experience delivering and managing training in a formal military environment
  • Experience managing large training teams developing and delivering complex tasks
  • Knowledge of NAVEDTRA 130 series policies
  • Knowledge and skills in analytical and management methods
  • Knowledge of academic instruction in a classroom setting
  • Ability to manage and control project resources and work in a fast-paced team
  • BA or BS degree in Business Management, Education, Educational Technology, or Foreign Language Education
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience as a military instructor
  • Knowledge of AIM or CPM/LOM
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in speaking the Arabic language
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication and instructional design skills
  • BA or BS degree in Instructional Design
  • PMP Certification
