Job Description :

  • The Cyber Security Analyst will be part of the security team responsible for securing the organization against cyber-attacks.
  • The team focuses on identifying, researching and performing offensive cyber security techniques and tactics to test and verify preventative and detective security controls.
  • You enjoy analyzing, evaluating and tuning SIEM events and alerts, threat hunting, automating investigation tasks, and performing incident response when a security incident arises.
  • The analyst will be experienced and knowledgeable about a wide variety of cyber security offensive and defensive tools, platforms, and solutions such as firewalls, IPS, WAF, SIEM, DLP, and vulnerability management.
  • The Cyber Security Analyst will also have the opportunity to work as a key member on project teams to ensure security by design principles are implemented in every IT and development effort to ensure the effective and appropriate use of security technology solutions and processes that reduce risk and increase the security of the company and its data.
  • You will be comfortable building relationships and partnering across the organization as you will work with team members inside and outside of the department.


Responsibilities :


  • Stay current on cyber security exploits, vulns, tools and tactics
  • Perform threat hunting with SIEM and security tools in the network
  • Analyze logs events and tune alerts from security platforms and record results in daily reports
  • Utilize offensive security tools and tactics to enhance detection capabilities
  • Administer security consoles and solutions
  • Perform incident response on cyber attacks
  • Review and test security configuration within Information Technology solutions generate configuration recommendation reports
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, manage results and track remediations


Qualifications :


  • Deep knowledge of securing operating systems
  • Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux events
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in managing or using a SIEM
  • 2+ years of experience with Incident Response investigation
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with the strong ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and track through to completion
  • Nice to have certifications CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GCWN, GMON, GCUX, GCDAbull Familiarity with HIPAA andor PCI-DSS a plus
