Interprets guideline manual and provides professional communication with a variety of healthcare providers.
Assists with compliance for licensure and accreditation by providing education, and expertise in interpreting regulations and standard requirements, especially those related to performance improvement and patient safety.
Conducts audits and studies, based on pre-established criteria, to assess and monitor the quality of care delivered and to meet regulatory requirements, such as national core measures.
Communicates findings verbally and in writing, as appropriate, through designated channels, in a timely manner.
Maintains databases for storing and tracking data needed to fulfill job assignments, such as benchmarking and performance improvement activities.
Acts as a coordinator, facilitator or liaison to committees, teams and outside organizations, as assigned.
Participates in performance improvement projects to increase high quality, cost-effective methods of practice;
Provides information and education on quality and performance improvement processes to medical and hospitalstaff.
Coordinates peer review activities for the Medical Staff credentialing process in accordance with hospitalpolicies and medical staff by-laws.
May perform other duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Business/Information Technology/Finance or related field plus 5 years of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Must have strong computer skills.
Microsoft office experience.
Electronic Health Record experience.

The Data Analyst will support the organization specifically in the areas of meaningful use and the impact of health care legislation on revenue. The financial components related to outside payers and quality care metrics. This position also serves as an expert in data and business analysis, reporting, and recommending areas of opportunities for improvement. Position will interact directly with a broad range of faculty, administrators, and campus leader and will represent QMD to the campus and outside organizations as appropriate. Demonstrates leadership and autonomy in planning and implementing Performance Improvement Initiatives. The Data Analyst monitors assigned projects for effectiveness of services, quality and appropriateness of care, cost containment, patient safety and risk reduction issues. The Data Analyst is an essential part of accreditation and compliance with CARF.
