Job Description

Support the global Corporate Audit department through enterprise analytics. Partner with Audit Leadership to support 40+ global audits each year with analytic support. Lead the practice management and program improvement. Assist the Global Systems Senior Director in global audit planning. Coach and mentor global audit teams on the incorporation of enterprise analytics into audit procedures. Partner with PepsiCo control teams to broaden departmental capabilities. The Senior Manager will have three direct reports, but because of the matrix organization structure will manage up to 5 individuals throughout the year and consultants throughout the year. The role can be based in Plano, TX; Purchase, NY or Barcelona, Spain and requires ~25-50% travel.

  • Provide thought and practice leadership for the Global Data Analytics audit team
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of data analysts and assist with on-the-job training
  • Develop and improve processes, procedures and tools (e.g., computerized audit tools)
  • Determine staffing (internal/external) for allocated audits, plan and manage data resources and associated costs
  • Participate in the annual risk assessment process, and contribute to the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Work with the audit director to analyze data to determine audit scope and focus. Provide the data mining and analytics support for audit execution
  • Support the audit director in the audit scoping and timing and verify that relevant stakeholder input has been incorporated
  • Review Annual Operating Plans (IT and Sector). Maintain regular dialogue with Sector and Region IT management to understand issues, risks, and strategic initiatives that may affect the audit plan
  • Identify and document best practices and assist in transferring that knowledge across operating units
  • Identify significant business process and system changes. Assess risks and recommend appropriate audit involvement
  • Provide the IT Audit Senior Director and Audit Director with updates. Proactively communicate with auditee Sr. Management to manage expectations and avoid surprises at the end of the audit
  • Summarize the significant factors driving audit ratings and recommendations. Support the Audit Director in the audit close meeting in clearly communicating findings and recommendations to Senior Audit Management and the auditee
  • Submit well-written detailed audit observations to the Audit Director
  • Lead/support strategic change initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 10 + years of work experience
  • Big 4 or equivalent consulting experience or industry
  • Led or managed a data analytic implementations and / or analytic department supervision
  • Experience building data analytic procedures and using them on multiple engagements
  • Broad understanding of IT, business process, accounting, auditing, financial analysis, forensic accounting and controls
  • Led multiple engagements auditing / analyzing enterprise systems such as SAP and Oracle
  • Secondary degree (MBA, MF, MCS) and / or professional certification (CIA, CISA, CPA) preferred
