Job Description:

  • Extract and analyze existing data from two disparate sources – inspect, clean, transform, match and map the data for migration into the target RIM vendor solution
  • Lead and work with an external data-migration partner to execute on this data migration
  • Learn and gain knowledge quickly of legacy RIM tools and new target RIM vendor solution to assist in evaluating and recommending data analysis, transformation, mapping and migration approach
  • Extract data from existing, disparate legacy RIM tools, and inspect, clean, transform, match and map the data for migration into the target RIM vendor solution
  • Analyze data as part of data requirements gathering and data mapping into target RIM vendor solution
  • Facilitate and engage business stakeholders in Regulatory Affairs and various R&D teams across the globe in meetings for data requirements and iterative analysis, documenting detailed business rules for data mapping
  • Design business rules for data accuracy and consistency; design data mapping and data migration; identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Collaborate with data-migration partner (i.e., understand capabilities of data-migration vendor solution and identify gaps/mitigations, resolve issues, etc
  • Work with data-migration partner to document requirements and source-to-target data maps for populating data
  • Work with data-migration partner to develop data mapping and ETL into the new RIM target solution; assist with data validation and reporting
  • Work with business stakeholders to iteratively evaluate data loads after test migrations, updating requirements and mapping rules as necessary
  • Use technical tools (queries, process maps, Tableau, Excel, etc for problem resolution
  • Resolve complex data problems and provide leadership and guidance to business teams on data-related matters
  • Communicate status, solutions and concerns
  • Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions
  • Ability to hit the ground running – learn quickly and understand source systems from a data perspective with little-to-no guidance; this requires being proactive and asking questions
  • A self-starter and self-motivated—have the maturity to accept minimal direction, confidence to give direction
  • Conducted migration of existing source data into a new, validated SaaS software vendor solution from beginning to end of SDLC
  • Analyzed legacy data and data models from existing solutions; Has the ability to analyze data model of new vendor SaaS system
  • Designed data mapping from legacy system to new system; migrated legacy data into a new system
  • Created business rules to transform legacy data to a new target data model.
  • Collaborated with a data-migration vendor (i.e., understanding the capabilities of the data-migration vendor solution and identifying gaps/mitigations, resolve issues, etc
  • Understand and follow appropriate SDLC in a validated environment (quality validation processes and application-level processes)
  • Business domain experience in Regulatory Affairs and the Regulatory Information Management process.
  • Experience Data Analysis, Data Migration, Data Mapping, Data Cleansing
  • Business analysis experience and implementing IT solutions that involve extensive data migrations
  • Regulatory affairs and/or regulatory information management domain experience Ability to exercise sound judgment and work effectively, given minimum-to-no guidance and direction; proactivity and self-initiated behavior is key
  • Data analysis, transformation, mapping and data migration experience
  • Ability to define, shape, and drive a data-migration approach to completion while effectively collaborating with others
  • Must be detail- and quality-oriented and able to work with a remote and diverse team
  • Have strong data tools (such as Tableau), MS Office (esp. Excel and Outlook) and SharePoint skills
  • Excellent written, documentation, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with third-party external teams in the support and implementation of IT and data-migration solutions
  • Experience working on all SDLC business processes: requirements, design, development, testing, training and deployment
  • Ability to accomplish results through others with effective influencing and leadership skills
  • Ability to catch up-to-speed quickly on internal policies, standards and procedures
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to change
