Position Description:

The DevOps Engineer is a member of the DevOps Engineering team and responsible for the design, implementation, automation, operation, support, and maintenance of all components of the continuous integration and continuous delivery for the Change Healthcare's Enterprise Imaging solution in cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Enterprise Imaging product software version control repository, including the creation, maintenance, and support for code repositories and related workflows
  • Define, implement, and automate, as well as maintain, support, and troubleshoot software builds, appropriate packaging and artifact handling strategies, as well as the continuous integration pipelines as code
  • Define, implement, and automate tools and methodologies to support the development teams in areas such as security scanning, code quality analysis, metrics reporting, monitoring, alerting, and more, as part of all continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows
  • Define, implement, and automate tools and methodologies to provide auditing capabilities for all continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows
  • Define, implement, and automate tools and methodologies to pull data and create reports related to all continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows as required by regulatory bodies
  • Create and maintain documentation as required for maintenance and roll-out of deliverables
  • Perform ongoing validation, operation, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all the continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows, pipelines, and related tools
  • Ensure quick recovery from incidents and failures in the continuous integration workflows
  • Follow any related standard operating procedures and assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures in this area
  • Work closely and collaboratively in an Agile environment with our product development, operations, and support teams
  • Provide training and onboarding to development teams in areas of continuous integration workflows including, but not limited to, using software version control, development tools, pipelines, understanding alerts, and notifications, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with medical device, privacy and security regulations
  • Actively support compliance auditing activities

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 5+ years in development and management of software builds and build environments, packaging, and artifact management
  • 5+ years in working with software version control systems such as Git, TFVC
  • 3+ years of experience with Powershell, Python, Bash, or another scripting language appropriate for automation
  • 3+ years of experience with software development on Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems

Critical Required Skills:

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact effectively with peers, stakeholders, and clients within and outside the team
  • Strong working experience with development tools like Visual Studio
  • Solid foundation in Linux/Windows operating systems and tools

  • Able and willing to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, independently, and with minimal supervision

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced experience with DevOps methodology and continuous integration
  • Experience working with resources in public clouds such as AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Capable of effectively negotiating with peers without direct authority
  • Familiarity with Healthcare IT standards as well as with Healthcare workflows

Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
