DevOps Engineer

Job description

Position Requirements:

BS Degree in Management Information Systems or a minimum of 5+ years as a DevOps Manager or similar technical discipline. A minimum of 1-5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Experience in building, securing, managing and maintaining containerization platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes in a hybrid cloud environment. Extensive experience with scripting languages such as bash and python along with configuration management, automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform or similar. Experience in designing, building, securing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab SaaS or similar. Demonstrated experience with majority of the following technologies or equivalent: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware virtualization, Windows Server, Oracle Database, Postgres Database, Kafka or Confluent, Nginx, NodeJs, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, Portworx, Prisma Cloud, and Hashicorp Vault. Experience in migrating on-premise infrastructure to cloud. Experience using Jira and knowledge of SCRUM and Kanban. Experience with cost reduction and budgeting. Experience with deploying service mesh such as Istio or similar. Experience securing the containerized environment using enterprise security tools. Able to utilize version control tools like Git along with a strong understanding of merging and branching code. Experience with load testing and performance testing tools such as Telerik Test Studio or similar. Experience with Grafana or similar dashboarding tools. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Solarwinds or similar. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must possess excellent listening and communication skills.
