Director of Product Management - B2B Insights

This area represents a quantified opportunity of over $3T in annual volume in commercial payments. The Director of Product Management - B2B Insights will be responsible for innovation and end-to-end launch of digital, self service insights products. Customer insights solutions will aim to reduce customer costs, manage supplier relationships and risk, and optimize spend. For Commercial Services, the solutions will identify cross-sell opportunities linked to Sales and Account Development. The Director will collaborate with business leaders, customers and internal partners to develop a compelling product vision, strategy and roadmap, and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment. The Director has responsibility for decision making and prioritization, working with analytics, design/user experience, engineering, training and enablement and customer support leaders to execute a well-managed product roadmap with an iterative release cycles. The Director will also manage a team of product owners to drive product enhancements and lead test and learn labs for new product ideas. The person will participate as a working member of the stakeholder Steering Committee, working with cross-functional teams to continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables and identify issues and risks.Responsibilities

  • Defines product vision and strategy for in line with the high-level business objectives and priorities
  • Partners with Digital Experience & Platforms group and Technologies to define the self-service user experience, support and monitoring for customers
  • Partners with Sales & AD Tools group, Salesforce team and Technologies to define the user experience for internal GCS users, including support and monitoring
  • Identifies opportunities and drives product vision, strategy, roadmap, and features, including keeping up on business changes and trends impacting the users, external benchmarking and incorporation of BI technologies trends
  • Manages the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution; including innovation, user experience, training and change management
  • Leads the product functional design and UX design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
  • Prioritizes engineering work for his or her products via the Product Backlog and balancing the requirements of stakeholders
  • Coordinates communication, escalates and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the Product Backlog
  • Establishes and uses metrics, key indicators and business cases to evolve products and optimize investment, e.g., number of users, traffic volume, efficiency saves, growth measures, etc.
  • Leads a seamless lifecycle model from analytics to test/learn to production and go to market
  • Establishes the products goals and success metrics to achieve commercial success
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, analysts and customer success experts
  • QualificationsA successful candidate will have:
  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
  • An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
  • A customer first , ABCD thinking mind set
  • Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data & intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc.
  • Understanding of the evolving compliance and regulatory requirements and environment and how to incorporate technology, infrastructure and security requirements into the product design
  • Experience with procurement, expense management and treasury businesses and processes
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development
  • 3-5 years experience leading, coaching and inspiring product teams
  • Machine learning and AI development experience are desirable
