Position Overview

The Director of Regulatory Affairs is responsible for providing oversight of regulatory activities, pro-actively reviewing and interpreting industry regulatory guidelines, serving as a point of contact with external authorities, developing and monitoring metrics to track quality and process improvement, communicating regulatory timelines/activities, and providing guidance and/or instruction to internal and external customers. This position will also work with the leadership team to conceive, develop, launch and execute new business opportunities.

The Director of Regulatory Affairs will be required to travel to client meetings, conferences, and seminars as needed.

Performance Objectives

  • Be a subject matter expert in Regulatory Affairs as it affects our industry and our clients, with a specific expertise focus on the government s Quality Payment Program (QPP)/Merit Based Incentive Payments System (MIPS) and Clinical Decision Support (CDS)/Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC)
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence and Operations departments to monitor regulatory performance for clients
  • Speak at external forums; sometimes in collaboration with other ADVOCATE departments
  • Represent ADVOCATE at industry functions and events
  • Remain up to date on all industry regulation changes relative to our industry
  • Internally and externally develop appropriate content and communicate and educate regulation changes to clients and ADVOCATE employees in an understandable and appropriate manner that leads to comprehension
  • Participate in sales calls to prospective new clients as needed
  • Attend conferences and seminars on behalf of ADVOCATE to include Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) National and Ohio Chapters, RBMA LEARN and RBMA Paradigm among others
  • Maintain client-specific, proactive, relationships with key clients
  • Manage and grow company Qualified Registry offering

Experience Requirements

Bachelor s degree or equivalent; 3+ years in regulatory affairs preferred; 2+ years of presentation skills; Experience in the health care industry; Strong ability to communicate in a clear, professional and timely manner with clients and employees; Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Products; Strong listening and verbal communication skills; Ability to follow procedures; Strong problem solving skills; Ability to work well in a team environment; Ability to be proactive and self-initiator
