EDI Developer/Senior Technical Analyst

Job Overview Senior-level skill set required to analyze, architect, and build innovative technical solutions for new and existing EDI interfaces on a distributed Sterling B2B Integrator platform. These include connectivity and integration interfaces with strategic internal Enterprise system platforms, as well as external Supply Chain and Client Business Partners. Best practice map and business process interface to build and testing skill on the IBM B2B technology stack using well-defined, Agile/Kanban development methodologies are required. The Candidate must also be a self-starter, highly motivated, and process oriented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sr. level experience engineering extremely large scale strategic platform design, development, and implementations with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Distributed platform architect with demonstrable Sr. level experience building interfaces using SBI and WTX in the Healthcare and/or Pharmaceutical industries
    • Formal B2B platform prototyping expert exercised through collaboration with system infrastructure engineers (e.g. IT Security, Networking, Middleware Engineering, B2B Interface Developers, Project Teams), as well as Enterprise User Groups
    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding
      • Perform data analysis; define, maintain and organize data; develop/maintain quality repositories to establish and assure compliant interface quality and data integrity
      • Provide technical support to project team members and participate in all related project discussions
      • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and requirements and deliver interface designs and prototypes aligning with requirements
      • Working knowledge of and experience with Agile system development framework methodologies
      • Promote continuous improvement initiative through IT innovation aligned with Organization strategy and healthcare industry IT technology initiatives
Education/Qualifications License/Certification/Education:
  • BS in Computer Science or related curriculum with IBM B2B platform engineering certification and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • IBM Certified Solution Implementer Sterling B2B Integrator
Experience
  • Sterling B2B Integrator v5.x, SFG/SBI/ITX-A, Connect: Direct with embedded Aspera technologies, SCC, PEM
  • Software engineering on Distributed Platform architecture using IBM AIX, Nutanix, VM/RHEL/Linux
  • SBI and WTX map interface Design Studios (Cloverleaf would be a plus)
    • Extensive knowledge of HIPAA, HL7, and ASC X12 EDI standards supported on the IBM B2B technology stack; specific transaction sets required include, but are not limited to 835, 837, 999, 270, 271, 277, 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 997, ORM, ORU
    • XML, XLST, SPRING, BPML, XPATH, Linux/Perl Scripting, Java, J2EE, Groovy/Grails/Springboot, SCC
    • Oracle, Hadoop, and DB2 Db SQL; knowledge of GoldenGate or comparable Db replication platform; Data Modeling experience a plus
      • Communications interface builds using protocols including, but not limited to, sFTP, AS2, HTTPs, TLS, and TCP/IP over VPN; MQ integration experience is a plus
      • Expertise building Dashboard oriented UI s using Splunk and/or the ELK stack (Elastic search, Logstash, and Kibana), as well as supporting software development/collaboration platforms Bitbucket and Confluence
      • Experience engineering Containerized applications using Docker and managed through Kubernetes
      • Analysis, design, EDI software implementation, pre & post-production support, testing, training and project management
        • Expertise with engineering Restful Service-based interfaces exposed internally and/or externally via an Enterprise API Gateway and supporting technologies on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform
        • Strong detail orientation with proven analytical and organizational skills coupled with the ability to effectively communicate, both written and orally, with all levels of management
        • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive schedules
        • Exceptional team player with a professional work ethic; demonstrates the ability to build relationships with both internal and external Clients
        • PC proficient and a confident user of Microsoft Office Suite of applications
        • Functional knowledge of Axway connectivity platform a plus
