Job Description:

  • Looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to bring our next generation of Drive-Thru wireless communication/intercom systems to life.
  • You will work to engineer our next generation software architecture and deliver world class leading new Drive-Thru solutions to market.
  • You will provide leadership and project planning for wireless communication/intercom systems, utilizing battery operated RF and wireless technology. 
  • The Embedded Software Engineer will partner with senior project managers to deliver best-in-class product support and any other development/deployment required to our global customers.


  • Design, implement and deploy embedded software for new products that include technologies like Bluetooth, Active Noise Reduction, AI and mobile app interfaces.
  • Work with PAR custom designed or COTS Headsets
  • Compile and modify software using IAR or similar platforms
  • Analyze complex technical problems and propose design of comprehensive solutions
  • Contribute to all phases of the product software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, automated test, release, support, and documentation
  • Enhance processes to improve quality and increase efficiency by focusing on continuous improvement
  • Function as the technical lead and support the process of designing, building, testing, and maintaining wireless communication systems.
  • Assist teams in supporting, maintaining, testing, and validating such systems.
  • Participate with project planning.
  • Write Technical Specifications.
  • Support regulatory testing of existing and new products.
  • Provides support to product management as needed.
  • Effectively communicates the dependencies of other departments' deliverables on project milestones and vice versa
  • Identify product risks and suggest mitigation solutions.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field from a four-year college or university AND a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience with wired and wireless communication systems.
  • Experience design and implementation of complex embedded software
  • Has delivered firmware for at least one product successfully launched into mass production
  • Experience bringing up and debugging hardware
  • Experience with Bluetooth and BLE. Familiarity with other wireless communication protocols
  • Experience with complete communication solutions, combining hardware, software and cloud-based enterprise management.
  • Experience in audio quality analysis and finding improvements
  • Experience in providing direction and taking the lead with projects.
  • Knowledgeable background in the wireless communication and its regulatory implications.
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
