Financial Analyst:

QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or 3-5 years experience preferred
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting platforms
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of GAAP; nonprofit accounting experience preferred
  • Computer competency familiarity with electronic medical records and billing systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Team player with interpersonal skills and ability to get along well with diverse personalities

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Financial Analyst serves as a key member of the Finance team, assisting in ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage cash flow projections for the organization
  • Track expenses and create invoices to the State of Ohio for reimbursement of costs associated with the campus expansion
  • Assist in tracking and reconciling pledges receivable associated with the capital campaign and communicate as necessary with the development team and campaign leadership committee.
  • Furnish external reports and budgets to funding sources and accreditation bodies, as necessary
  • Assist the Director of Finance with creating and tracking foundation grant budgets
  • Track receivables in Excel
  • Reconcile service receivables to QuickBooks, and communicate issues with billing team and Accountant
  • Prepare and assist in preparing various financial and administrative reports for the Director of Finance.
  • Assist the Accountant as necessary with billing to government agencies
  • Assist the Billing Specialist with troubleshooting and follow-up of unpaid claims
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset schedule and prepare depreciation journal entries
  • Maintain restricted asset spreadsheet and prepare associated journal entries
  • Assist the Director of Finance in reviewing all existing compliance requirements and ensure compliance across the organization
  • Financial Analyst will assist in the development of the annual budget
  • Perform other general office duties as needed
  • Complete all annual agency training compliance requirements
  • Financial Analyst will uphold clients rights and confidentiality regulations
