Fleet Services Specialist

The work schedule for this position is flexible and will include working evenings and weekends and local travel.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • In accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications, inspect, service and repair the following for light duty vehicles:
  • Brake, steering and suspension systems; oil and lubrication; tire changes and rotation; light mechanical and electrical system repairs; fluid inspection and levels
  • Utilize Mitchell ProDemand and Accruent Facilities Information Management System (FAMIS) to obtain specifications, estimate and log repair orders, labor, and parts
  • Pick up, prepare and deliver vehicles to vehicle custodians
  • Test drive vehicles for diagnosis and confirmation of repairs
  • Strictly adhere to all driving, OSHA, DOT and safety laws and regulations
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology

Job Requirements


  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) and
  • One year of automotive technician experience in a professional environment and
  • Valid Arizona Driver s License and demonstration of an acceptable driving record and
  • ASE G1 or ASE A4 and A5 certification or the ability to obtain within the first six months of employment

or


  • Candidates who possess similar minimum objective qualifications are encouraged to apply and should describe in detail the work experience and education you regard as establishing the equivalency

Physical Requirements

  • Positions in this class typically require, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, grasping, feeling talking hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Incumbents may be subject to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, dusts, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions and travel
  • Successful candidate(s) must meet minimum medical testing requirements, as determined in a physical examination prior to employment
