Front office/ Manager assistant

Medi Weightloss Clinics – Knoxville, TN

Position: Front Office

Reports to: Office Manager.

Position Overview The Receptionist works under the direct supervision of the Office Manager. The environment is fast-paced and the position is multifaceted. The Office Manager will assign additional projects and tasks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Use a multi-line phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls.
  • Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patients progress and address any concerns
  • Refers non-routine, sensitive and/or complex requests for information and other inquiries or complaints to the appropriate staff member.
  • Uses the EMR to check in/out all patient visits.
  • Ensure that each patient receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every patient, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
  • Process accounts receivable transactions.
  • Accurately and securely maintain all financials for services rendered and products sold.
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of the daily receipts and developing a daily batch to be submitted to the office manager.

Non-essential Job Functions

  • Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patients progress and address any concerns
  • Assists with all administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones, scheduling patients, and filing medical records
  • Assist with daily monitoring of inventory levels of all clinical and office supplies
  • Trains additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician
  • Participates in clinic marketing efforts and provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success

  • Must be able to multi-task, apply critical thinking skills, and provide highest level of customer service at all levels of the operation
  • Interpersonal / human relations skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work with as part of the clinic team and corporate structure
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25+ pounds and sit for long periods of time

Preferences

  • Bilingual in Spanish

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $10.00 to $12.00 /hour
