Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM s Tech Re-Entry program is looking for talented technical professionals who are looking to restart their technical careers after an absence from the workforce of ****93 months or more. This paid apprenticeship will enable you to work on projects that match your expertise, interests, and abilities and could lead to full-time employment. During your IBM Tech Re-Entry apprenticeship program, you will have the opportunity to update your skills in a contemporary work environment. You will have access to the latest tools and technologies available and work alongside a multi-disciplinary teams to hone your expertise and deliver on client-critical solutions. You ll be able to experience the breadth of IBM resources while developing new skills and relationships.
Re-Entry hires participate in ~6 month apprenticeships to refresh skills and prepare for transition to full time opportunities. The experience provides personalized technical learning to update and gain additional skills; earning badges and credentials along the way.

IBM Watson Financial Services Solutions helps global top-tier Financial Services clients solve their most complex business and financial risk issues. As a Developer you will play a key role as part of the Financial Crimes Insight (FCI) development team by focusing on financial use cases involving financial fraud, anti-money laundering, insurance, and youre your customer. You will be involved in all facets of the software development lifecycle including both front and back-end development. You will work designing, coding, testing, and integrating containers, services, applications, and databases. Our goal is to create scalable, high-performing, secure, and stable products that meet customer requirements.
The Financial Crimes Insight development organization is a fast-paced product development team working in an Agile, open, collaborative environment. Our organization was established in early ****93 with first product shipping in June ****93. We have been growing rapidly to meet growing customer demand for our analytical products, and are adding team members to our Research Triangle Park, North Carolina team.
As an Agile team, we are responsible to ensure our user stories are completed end-to-end. Team members may develop code, test code, or write/review documentation as needed. Automation and continuous integration experience is valuable but not required.
Hands-on design, coding, and testing in an Agile and continuous-delivery process
Focus on developing well-structured code following FCIs established coding standards
Work side-by-side with other developers to implement best practices, introduce new tools and improve processes
While this is a Software Engineer position, candidates can specialize during their returnship in specific areas. For example, back-end, front-end, QA or DevOps development.
In order to qualify for this returnship, you must have been out of the workforce for a minimum of ****93 months.
