RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Public Health, Social Science, Health Science or other related degree and at least 2 years experience working in a behavioral health, crime prevention, health promotion, public health, or other relevant health and human service setting, OR, A two-year or vocational degree in Business, Education, Social Science, Public Health or other related degree and at least 4 years experience working in a behavioral health, crime prevention, health promotion, public health, or other relevant health and human service setting, Also must have at least 2 years experience writing and managing funding/grant proposals such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and foundation grants. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or member of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to analyze opportunities. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word processing software, Vizio, data analysis and projection software.
SummaryPOSITION SUMMARY: This is a non-exempt position working across all Lifeways programs. This position is the primary writer and coordinator of grants and RFPs for Lifeways. Functions include research of new opportunities, evaluation of the value of new opportunities as well as gathering data, and working collaboratively across departments and programs. This position provides direct and technical assistance serving various functions toward the implementation of grant applications. The Grants Coordinator is a member of the Business Development team and plays a key significant role in supporting business development.
