Hadoop Developer:

Develop Hadoop ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes of critical data for use in front-end user analytical/visualization tools using the following technologies: Spark / Spark Streaming Scala HiveQL HBase/Phoenix Kafka Python Other relevant Hadoop technologies Provide Hadoop configuration and performance tuning expertise Hadoop flavor is Hortonworks Configuration dashboard is Ambari Database is HIVE and HBase Ensure code is properly tested and meets established standards. Practice established development disciplines such as good code management, branching and merging of code in a GIT repository Ensure code performs adequately to meet customer expectations. Ensure developed processes are running successfully and within allotted timeframes. Provide support for, troubleshoot and patch existing processes. Experience:

4-year degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent experience required 3+ years as a Hadoop Developer with deep experience in Hive and Spark Demonstrated expertise in Scala Relevant experience and expertise in Spark Streaming and Kafka Must have strong SQL skills, with relevant experience in Hive HQL Good understanding of query and table optimization, including partitioning and buckting Experience in the configuration of YARN, MapReduce for performance, security is a plus Experience with GIT code repository a plus Upstream Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus
