Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:                 

HR Associates will report into the Employee Services Team Lead and support subject matter experts in the administration of the HR Eligibility to Work program.  The Associate will provide ongoing support, be a central point for issue resolution, manage the day-to-day administration of various programs, and perform issue resolution through an electronic remedy process. The ideal person will be organized, work effectively with internal and external contacts, have the ability to process large volumes of transactions, understand complex policies and apply them to employee situations. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and organizational skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with the customer service focus that the world associates with and expects from Amazon.

Job Duties:

  • Process transactions for multiple compliance programs related to I-9/E-Verify and work authorization file data integrity
  • Assist with new HR work authorization or compliance-related projects as needs arise
  • Verify data and perform data entry and look for variances/discrepancies in data for correction
  • Communicate to partners and employees on data findings and information
  • Demonstrate the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience
  • One (1) or more years of HR, compliance-related experience or relevant studies required
  • Fluent verbal and written English language skills
  • MS Office experience and ability to use MS Excel for reporting
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and report development (e.g. Excel, Access, Tableau)
  • Experience with computer operating and database management skills
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information and adhere to strict confidentiality standards
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize work and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly detail oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work well in a team environment
  • Organized with a strong sense of accountability and sound personal judgment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in HR transactional processes
  • Ability to quickly understand data models
  • Prior work experience with PeopleSoft or other HRIS ERP human capital management software
  • Customer service orientation with ability to serve multiple customers (candidates, hiring managers, recruiters, HR business partners)
  • Able to track high volume activity with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Technical skills to manipulate and analyze data and present recommendations in a variety of formats
  • Proven analytical capabilities, comfortable working with large amounts of data and in developing metrics and reporting vehicles
  • Ability to spot issues and escalate to business partners, as appropriate
  • Able to track high volume activity with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary - sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
