Its an exciting time to be part of IFF, we are looking for a hands on and energized HR Business Partner to become part of our North America HR team where we work closely with our business in the exciting worlds of taste, scent and nutrition organization. Reporting to the Regional Director, People Services you will act as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for business leaders, through closely partnering with the business improve their people leadership capability, team culture, talent pipeline and people development.

About You:

As a HR Business Partner you will bring experience as a HRBP in an Operations as well as a Business Development/Corporate environment. You will thrive working in a matrix environment that demands a high level of critical thinking, can do attitude and superior level of interpersonal savvy. In this fast paced agile environment you will be flexible and have a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and exceptional collaboration skills.

The nature of this role requires someone who will be prepared to be both hands on and strategic and enjoys developing people as you will have a direct report to partner close with.

You be part of a broader HR network with in North America where we are committed to act as a collaborative team actively contributing to the development and success of our holistic HR service delivery in NA. Our team is also committed to our own development through a sharing network of our expertise to build our internal HR bench strength & capability in a continuous learning and sharing environment.

You will spend your time

Business Partnering:

Act as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for business leaders

Build business intimacy and credibility to be consulted and actively contribute to overall business decisions.

Change Management:

Initiate and manage change processes.

Implement changes in organizational structure, work design, team based systems, organizational communications. Lead and support process improvement efforts and other processes for improving organizational performance.

HR strategy/initiatives:

Ensuring the effective implementation of HR & business initiatives.

Supporting projects through involvement on HR and/or business lead project teams.

Partnering with HR colleagues to share best practice and successes and learning to ensure consistency and overall alignment.

HR Analytics:

Ensure a high level of diligence around HR data integrity

Ensure timely and accurate input of data into various HR systems by you and your team.

Regularly audit system data to ensure accuracy and sharing insights into data impacting the HR analytics dashboard.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Understanding the businesss hiring needs, calendar and priories including a clear plan on workforce planning.
  • Manage hiring and selection process ensuring compliance to global and local process and legal requirements and application of best practice. Manage succession planning and movement of internal talent.
  • Talent Mapping identifying key functions with low or difficult pipelines to fill either internal or external influences. Work with the Talent Acquisition to network and build external market mapping.

Talent Development & Retention:

  • Drive execution of the talent assessment process.
  • Partner with business leaders to run talent review processes that are outcome driven that deliver on talent development plans, retention risk assessments and talent gap analysis. Providing guidance to business leaders on how to set SMART performance objectives, coach and review /award a year-end rating. Ensuring succession plans are in place for key roles and people (talent).
  • Coach leaders on performance management fostering a working environment which aligns with the companys vision and mission.

Required Skills:

  • Managing a small team and developing individuals
  • Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools & HR IS system reporting and analysis (SAP preferred).
  • Critical Thinking - Uses problem solving skills to assist in determining priorities, finding timely solutions to departmental or system-wide issues and demonstrating quality customer service.
  • Collaboration - Successfully collaborates on projects and programs with team members.
  • Accountability - Takes responsibility for consistent completion and follow-up on departmental jobs and providing excellent service delivery.
  • Flexibility - Responsive to change and demonstrates adaptability.
  • Positive Approach & Can do attitude - Maintains a positive approach while doing daily tasks and when faced with adversity. Encourages and recognizes the contribution of others.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills - Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to partner with various levels of management including c-suite. Approachable.
  • Planning & organizing - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines. High attention to detail, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
