Immigration Specialist/Recruiting Admin

In this role you will:
  • Facilitate the immigration process including non-immigrant (i.e. OPT/STEM, EAD, H-1B, NAFTA/USMCA, L-I and J visas) and immigration petitions (permanent residence sponsorship) as it relates to extensions, amendments, transfers, and terminations
  • Work directly with HR, Legal, and employees requiring sponsorship to ensure the accurate preparation and timely processing of immigration cases
  • Manage employment authorization expiration dates for all foreign nationals and file cases in a timely manner
  • Creation, maintenance, and retention of public access files and other immigration compliance responsibilities
  • Prepare employment verification letters for travel and VISA applications
  • Stay current with governmental and regulatory requirements regarding immigration policies
  • Assist with on-boarding employees by conducting background screenings, completing the Form I9 and E-Verify, uploading information into the payroll systems, etc.
  • Act as a resource for all employees to answer questions and resolve any issues
  • Maintain employee personnel files and benefit enrollments
  • Assist with recruiting initiatives and programs.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement for the immigration programs and policies.
  • Manage immigration escalations, attend to questions from recruiting, HR, Managers and third-party immigration counsel.
  • Participate on process improvement activities associated with leveraging data & technology.
  • Provide ad-hoc as well as self-directed reports and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, issues, etc.
You should be an expert in:
  • Bachelor s degree
  • 1-3 years of immigration experience
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to daily changes.
  • Effectively manage relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work comfortably with people of diverse skills, responsibilities and personalities.
  • Must have advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Create offer letters and work with Operations Coordinator to ensure successful onboarding process for new hires.
  • Support Global Talent Acquisition team in streamlining and maintaining a global workflow
  • Help the recruiting team build a pipeline of candidates for different positions.
  • High level of professional integrity with the ability to self-starter and maintain confidential information.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and desire to improve immigration and recruiting processes.
  • Proficiency in Google Apps (Gmail, Gcal, Google Forms and Docs
