We have a new opportunity for a senior strategic Information Security Analyst in the Information Security, Cyber Threat Management organization. The individual selected for this position will work as part of Enterprise Threat Services team to support efforts involving assessing and analyzing attack surfaces, conduct threat modeling, and developing a threat registry with a focus on current and emerging cyber threats against the financial sector. The candidate will work with internal teams to identify, analyze, and share correlated and enriched threat models to assist internal teams to prepare for and effectively respond to current and potential cyber threats.

  • Develop cyber threat models based on information from both internal and external sources.
  • Support the creation of strategic white papers based on recent media reports, cyber trends, and emerging threats, and tailor the papers to intended customers.
  • Appropriately manage and communicate relevant cyber threat registry and threat model findings to partner teams within Information Security and the banks Lines of Business (LOB).
  • Actively research emerging cyber threats and our internal mitigating controls to derive an assessment of residual risk.
  • Present on cyber threat models to both executive management and large audiences of bank employees.
  • Develop and further relationships with personnel at external financial institutions, government agencies, and other appropriate organizations in support of our threat modeling efforts.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information security administration experience
  • 7+ years of information security administration experience
  • 1+ year of threat registry or 1+ year threat modeling experience

  • Advanced Information Security technical skills and solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies
  • Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present complex material in a digestible, consumable manner to all levels of management
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis, and the Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain
  • Good knowledge of understanding technical steps of cyber attack anatomy, with the ability to map to ATT&CK or other framework
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies
  • Infosec certification(s) (CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, GCTI, or CPT)
  • Familiar with a variety of intelligence analysis techniques to generate and test a hypothesis, assess cause and effect, challenge analysis, and support decision making.
