You will collaborate with the Installation Management and Project team in the planning, execution and closure phases of the project. You will be located in Boston, MA, USA, and the position includes 90+/- travel days globally per year. Tasks & responsibilities:We are looking for a responsible Installation Project Manager to manage the installation operations of a large-scale offshore project off the north-eastern coast of the US. You will be working closely with the Lead Installation Project Manager, Deputy Installation Managers and Appointed Person for Lifting Operations to ensure company processes are followed and manage project deliverables and key milestones. As the Installation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the offshore installation activities, and you will be navigating amongst several stakeholders to ensure safe, high-quality and timely execution. A typical work day in offshore wind is characterised by continuous change making for a very versatile and dynamic work environment. You are expected to take responsibility of the following (though not exhaustive) tasks:
  • Proactively management of the Installation team to ensure a safe streamlined execution and welfare, health and wellbeing are maintained to a high standard
  • Ensure compliance to the contract within the installation scope
  • Project progress and performance reporting
  • Planning, management and deployment of installation resources, tools and equipment
  • Management of interfaces between MHI Vestas, customers and subcontractors in terms of planning, risk assessments, method statements and associated work instructions
  • Proactively resolve internal and external cross-functional issues to ensure the project is not affected
  • Installation execution according to QHSE standards
Skills & experience: Our new colleaguehas a suitable level of project management experience combined with good leadership and communication competences. Preferably, you hold a project management degree or equivalent, however, similar/other qualification levels are also encouraged to apply. We expect you to have 3+ years of experience within an environment where Quality, Health, Safety and Environment disciplines played a significant role, performing in a manner which creates good and beneficial relationships with all relevant stakeholders while never compromising on QHSE or internal processes and procedures. As a person, you have great interpersonal skills and can reach buy-in form all stakeholders. Furthermore, it is important that you can motivate the team in a calm and determined way while still respecting the individual. We expect that you:
  • By nature, have a result-oriented mindset and are characterised by being a problem-solver
  • Are loyal, focused and take full responsibility of your own area of business
  • Have experience with leadership of large-scale projects (advantageous, not required)
  • Possess good IT skills, incl. Microsoft-based platforms, ERP and coordination systems
  • Are fluent in English
