Insurance Specialist, Risk Management

The Insurance Specialist is the primary departmental liaison for automobile insurance claims and safety and prevention strategies to the BC Community, brokers, and carriers. This position is responsible for analyzing loss history on automobile and property lines of coverage, and coordinates loss prevention services to reduce exposure. Additionally, the Insurance Specialist prepares and presents financial and claims reports; provides claims management coordination and oversight for all lines of coverage for insurance programs; reviews auto and property files to ensure proper claims handling and resolution; and coordinates certificate of insurance administration and policy maintenance.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $43,250 to $54,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
This position requires a Bachelors degree and 3-5 years of progressively responsible related insurance experience. Automobile, General Liability, Workers Compensation and risk management expertise preferred.
